With over a decade of experience in the technology sector, I am a seasoned IT professional with a comprehensive background spanning from hands-on system administration to high-level security engineering. My career journey began with practical, client-facing roles in a major retail technology service and in student employment, where I honed my skills in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and customer service. I then transitioned into more strategic leadership and administration roles, serving for nearly eight years in a state government agency, culminating as a Lead System Administrator and IT Service Center Director. In these roles, I was responsible for overseeing IT operations, managing teams, and implementing system-wide improvements.
My expertise extends to a deep understanding of network infrastructure, server administration, and physical security, developed through my work with a federal defense contractor. Most recently, as a Security Engineer at a leading cybersecurity firm, I've specialized in advanced cybersecurity solutions, earning multiple security certification. My broad skill set, combined with my leadership experience and commitment to continuous learning, allows me to provide robust, holistic IT solutions that are tailored to meet your business's unique needs. My career journey began with hands-on technical support and customer service, where I developed a deep understanding of IT infrastructure from the user level up. My experience as an Information Security Analyst in a state government agency has equipped me with specialized skills in monitoring security events, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing compliance policies using tools like Microsoft Purview and Azure Information Protection.
I am proficient in vulnerability scanning, managing security awareness training, and creating attack surface reduction policies.
